In musical terms, Parlando means “To speak in a musical way.” At Parlando School for the Arts we believe that music and the arts have the power to bring joy and inspiration to all who wish to listen, sing, act or learn regardless of age, income or ability. We are committed to unifying our community around the common language of the arts.

At Parlando School For The Arts we share the language of music and the arts in four key ways:

High Quality Arts Education

Parlando School for the Arts is Colorado’s premier arts school, where people of all ages and abilities come together to share the language of music and the arts. Our highly talented and experienced faculty provides lessons and classes of all types to students of all abilities.

Tuition Assistance

We believe that all students interested in Parlando’s life-changing programs should be able to pursue their passion regardless of their ability to pay. Our Tuition Assistance program strives to provide these students with the financial help they need to remain committed to their artistic pursuits.

Performance Opportunities

At Parlando School for the Arts we believe that performance is the most fundamental way of celebrating our common language of music and the arts. From monthly recitals for students of all abilities, to outreach concerts for senior citizens, to high-quality audition-only performances, we provide students and community members with the opportunity to speak to each other through the universal language of the arts.

Community Outreach

At Parlando School for the Arts we are committed to stepping outside of our studios to serve our broader community. We seek to compliment the hard work of teachers in our community by sending our faculty, free of charge, into schools seeking supplementary instruction and expertise.

Sectionals
We can have a teacher go out and do sectionals for your band or orchestra. The instrumental teachers who have been to schools in the past are listed. They can focus on technique of a specific instrument, help a child who is falling behind the class or just provide inspiration to students who play that particular instrument.
$22/hour

Instruments available:
Acoustic Guitar/Songwriting- John Mieras
Violin/Viola- Liz Dinwiddie or Brad Ferree
Jazz/Saxophone- Danny Meyer
Rock guitar- Holden Young
Flute- Malia Van Rooy
Trumpet- Don Williams
Trombone or low brass- Ryan Van Gilder

Performances
We also have some members of preformed groups who work for us as teachers and they can come do performances for your students. Specifically we have a brass quintet, string trio and jazz saxophonist (who has a variety of connections) that are interested in performing for local students. If bringing an entire group is cost prohibitive, it's possible for one of the members to come out to play a mini solo concert and explain how the instrument works, answer questions etc. These concerts are very student friendly and active so the students need not just sit there the entire time.

Solo- string, wind, brass or jazz $22/hour
Duo- string, wind, brass $44/hour
Trio – string or wind $66/hour
Quartet- string or wind $88/hour
Quintet- wind or brass $110/hour
