

Classes - During the 2007-2008 academic year, almost all of the leads from local high school musical and dramatic productions took private lessons and/or musical theater classes through Parlando's Broadway in Boulder Studios. Classes during the academic year include the hallmark "Audition Book" as well as "Duets/Scene Study" (a.k.a. "Mastering the Call back"). These classes range in age from middle school to college. Different classes occur on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday evenings. Call or email for a schedule of current and upcoming classes.

Voice Lessons - Private voice lessons through Parlando's Broadway in Boulder Studios are offered on a weekly or twice-weekly basis. Students learn how to develop their voice for musical theater in a healthy way while learning repertoire from throughout the genre including new and unpublished works. Angela Gaylor has been on Broadway as Anne in the Tony-Award winning revival La Cage Aux Folles, Amber in Hairspray as well as the recent revival of Oklahoma! She has also appeared as the title role in Cinderella at Paper Mill Playhouse. Her career extends into television with Guest Stars on Law and Order: SVU and the role of Libby on All My Children. Angela is a graduate of the Cincinnati Conservatory of Music's Musical Theatre department where she received a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree and the Laurie Beechman Award.

David Ayers graduated from Northwestern University with a bachelor's degree in Vocal Performance and Theater. David has starred on Broadway as Sky in Mamma Mia!, originated the role of Fyedka in the 2005 Tony-nominated revival of Fiddler on the Roof, and most recently, the role of Fiyero in the hit Broadway musical Wicked at the Gershwin Theatre. His television credits include guest starring on Law and Order: Criminal Intent and The Guiding Light. Most recently David has work shopped two upcoming musicals by pop icons Barry Manilow and Elton John.
Located at the Dairy Center for the Arts, Broadway in Boulder, LLC was formed to create a safe, educational, conservatory based studio, joining voice and musical theater students from schools across Boulder and all the surrounding areas. By creating a place where students from different schools and Universities come to practice, grow and learn from each other, Broadway in Boulder is challenging previous notions of artistic lines and creating a working studio of young artists to share ideas with each other, and prepare for the next step in their journey; be it high school auditions, acceptance to college or polishing for a professional career.
