Musicare (ages 1½-6) F 10:15-11:00 a.m.
Musicare is an exciting, educational, fun-filled, hands-on music program for children ages 18 months to six years old.
With Musicare, little ones (and parents) will find joy in singing, moving and playing to music. Musicare offers each child
a means to express their inner voice. Musicare engages those of tender years by acknowledging them, singing with them,
keeping rhythm and nurturing them. Miss Amy brings her wonderful storytelling, guitar playing and thematic approach to
her classes and invites children to explore music by making their own musical choices in each class every week. With
song, stories, instruments, music, puppets, and movement, Miss Amy welcomes the young into an organic musical
experience that she hopes everyone will enjoy. For more details about the Musicare program, visit musicare-USA.com.

Broadway in Boulder
This exciting new program is based on the extensive performance and teaching experience of Broadway stars, David Ayers (Wicked, Fiddler on the Roof, Mamma Mia!) and Angela Gaylor (La Cage Aux Folles, Hairspray, Oklahoma!). The following three classes are for 8th grade through college students:
Audition Book
Based on Angela Gaylor and David Ayers’s personal years of study and training with famed New York coach and composer, Craig Carnelia, this class is truly a one-of-a-kind and without peer in the region. In order to balance the overwhelming popularity of Audition Book with the need to offer classes that both respect the limited time of our students and their varying abilities, we are breaking Audition Book into two different sections: Audition Book “A” and Audition Book “B.”
All students graduate the class with a personalized song and monologue list, two or three fully coached songs and one monologue all performed in front of their peers. Additionally, students will gain the confidence and ability to handle a variety of audition settings.
The Audition Book “A” section will be on Tuesdays from 5:00-7:00 p.m. and will be open to all students from middle school through college. It will be limited to 10 registered students with 2 spots held open each week for new students to “audit” the class. In the event that the 2 audit spots are not filled, or one or more registered students do not show up on a given week, any unregistered student may “drop-in” to take the class that week. The drop-in fee is $40 per class.
The Audition Book “B” section will be by invitation only. It will be limited to 10 students. Any student in Audition Book “A” may stay to watch the Audition Book “B” class, but there will be no drop-ins, unless specifically invited by David or Angela.
**There will be no credits or refunds for missed classes, but students may drop-in on another section without charge, space permitting. Students should arrange this directly with David or Angela PRIOR to the beginning of each session.
Mastering The Call Back
Seamlessly bridging the transition of dialogue into song is an incredibly important skill when faced with nailing a call back and rehearsing for a show. In Duets/Scene Into Song, students will learn the subtleties of matching tone and vibrato, understanding harmonies, adjusting styles with different partners to create one cohesive thought and more. Understanding the various motivations for a character to sing, their evolution, as well as textual analysis of the dialogue preceding the song will be examined.
Alternating weeks will be spent applying various acting techniques to age appropriate scenes in Scene Study. Topics include a brief introduction to Stanislavsky, The Meisner School and Viewpoints. This class will provide a serious forum for students to perform small excerpts from their favorite musicals and plays. Previous singing experience is required.
In order to both respect the limited time of our students and their varying abilities, there will be two sections of Mastering the Call Back: Duets/Scene Study “A” and Duets/Scene Study “B.”
The Duets/Scene Study “A” section will be open to all students from middle school through college. It will be limited to 10 students.
The Duets/Scene Study “B” section will be by invitation only. It will be limited to 10 students. Any student in Duets/Scene Study “A” may stay to watch the Duets/Scene Study “B” class.
Both sections of Mastering the Call Back will culminate in a final presentation in which all registered students will have the opportunity to be seen by Denver area Agents and Casting Directors.
**There will be no credits or refunds for missed classes.
