In addition to being the premier resource for piano lessons in Boulder, Parlando School for the Arts also has the largest piano faculty in the region. Of our 700 weekly students, more than half take piano lessons or group classes. Weekly private lessons are 30, 45 or 60 minutes long. We offer beginning piano group classes as well as semi private lessons. New students may enroll at any time by calling or emailing us. Tuition is prorated for new students who begin after the term has begun.

Advanced Piano Academy (APA). The APA will provide piano students with a seamless integration of private lessons, group classes, masterclasses, special performance opportunities and access to guest artists. Students accepted into the APA will have the opportunity to discover their full potential in the most comprehensive, engaging and rigorous programming available - and they’ll have fun doing it. KIDS N KEYS
Parlando's popular group piano class for younger beginners provides children with a strong musical foundation in an exciting, social environment. Throughout the semester, students learn functional piano technique, note and music reading skills, and general musicianship. Each class involves games, popular songs, improvisation, and group ensembles to make learning fun. All students receive method books that can be used in continuing Kids N Keys classes or in private lessons. Ages 3-9, depending on level. Tuition includes a Parlando tshirt. You can also add 3 Private lessons that can be scheduled during the spring semester. Perfect for students interested in trying or transition to private lessons.

Intro to Piano (ages 7 and up)
Learn the basics of piano playing with this weekly hour-long introduction course that will include learning notes, basic reading skills and playing simple repertoire pieces. This is a great introduction for those that think they may want to begin a new instrument but are not yet ready for private lessons! Ages 7 and up. Tuition includes book and Parlando tshirt.

Recreational Music Making for Piano (RMM) (Ages 18+)
This class is designed for adult students who have always wanted to learn piano, wish they never stopped playing, or would just like to help their kids practice at home. Participants further their reading and playing skills all while learning fun well known pieces! No previous experience is necessary. This class is held in our new piano lab. Placement is based on experience and scheduling is based on availability of registrants. Tuition includes book and 10 classes.
Piano Plus (ages 5 and up)
$105 Scheduled at mutually agreeable days/times
Add on a monthly group class to private piano lessons and see a world of difference in progress! Participants are engaged in an energetic social environment where they get to perform, play games, learn theory skills and play the piano together in duets and larger ensembles. This is a perfect fit for students who like the weekly individual attention from their private lesson teacher but
would also like to expand their musicianship through ensemble opportunities, theory knowledge and performance skills in a more social setting. The group class meets once a month and students will be placed with others students of comparable age and ability.
After registering, Emily Book McGree will contact you for placement in an ensemble group of similar ability and age. Note: Minimum enrollment: 4 students
