Parlando offers music and arts education for children as young as 18 months. Just as with any language, the universal language of music and the arts is best learned early. From our twice weekly "Musical Morning for Preschoolers" class to "Music with Madelyn" to Kids N Keys, you can start your child at an early yet developmentally appropriate level at Parlando.

Music With Madelyn (walking - 5½)
Using puppets, props, instruments and movement, children advance through the eight fundamentals of early childhood musicianship in a playful and engaging manner. Madelyn presents separate challenges to children appropriate to their developmental level. For the parents, classes include tidbits on fun ways to bring more music into the home. Music in their heart, songs in their head, rhythm in their body…that is the goal of Music with Madelyn. These classes fill up quickly, so reserve your spot early.

Pre-Youth Orchestra (ages 6-10)
Parlando’s “Pre Youth Orchestra” has been designed to fill the gap for string students in Suzuki Books 1-3 (or equivalent) who are not yet eligible to participate in one of the local youth symphonies or are too young to participate in their school orchestra. Students will learn independent playing, working together as a section, marking parts and what it means to work with and follow a conductor. Students will further their preparations for “the next step” by participating in two informal concerts each academic year (one per semester). In late spring audition prep classes will be held to prepare for the transition to one of our local youth symphonies. These classes will be held during our regular class time and will include mock auditions.
